Arrival and Dismissal
Please follow our arrival and dismissal procedures to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Thank you!
- ALL students (including car riders) have been assigned a number.
- A card with this number will be placed in their bus tag holder, which remains on their backpack.
- A stack of 4 cards with the student assigned number will be provided to your family at the Meet & Greet event, scheduled for Wednesday, August 14, 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m, the school office, or sent home in your child’s backpack.
- Parents/Guardians are tasked with providing a card to anyone who they have approved to greet their child at the bus stop or pick them up in their car. This may include parent/guardian, relative, sibling, neighbor, babysitter, etc.
- When arriving at the bus stop or in the pick-up line, your established “greeter” will show their card with the student’s number.
- When the student exits the bus, the bus driver will verify that the number on the child’s backpack matches the number of the “greeter’s” card. If the student is going to a car, a staff member will verify the number.
- There may be cases when the bus driver or staff member will request additional information from the “greeter”. Please be patient and cooperate in requests. Any questions being posed by the bus driver or staff member will be asked only to ensure the safety of all children exiting the bus or entering a car.
- If no card is shown at time of bus drop off or car pick up, the child may not be released to that person. If the student rides the bus, the parent/guardian will be contacted and required to pick their child up at the school at the end of the bus route.
- Please keep the cards in a safe place. If they are lost, please contact the school office to request replacements.
